Slim's qualities, as described, allude to a caring man, who is well respected and fair. He walks with an air of assurance, and he certainly inspires loyalty in the men he works with...... as well as jealousy in Curley's case. George, normally quiet, is the perfect example of the way Slim's demeanor draws people in..... he's the one person George confides in, and in the end, it's Slim who helps him out after Lennie's death.
