Of Mice and Men

In Of Mice and Men how does Steinbeck strike an immediate contrast between Lennie and George? In particular find words in within each description that are direct opposites to each other.

In Chapter from 'Evening of a hot day...Jesus Christ you're a crazy bastard.'

Steinbeck first tells us about their physicality. Lennie is large and george is small. Lennie begins talking and we can tell he is simple or mentally challenged. George takes on a parental roll with Lennie.
