Of Mice and Men

Given their backgrounds,how believable are the characters behaviour in mice and men?I NEED AN ANSWER PLS

I think that considering the era, Great Depression, that this was written in, the characters are very believable. Somebody mentally challenged like Lennie would be seen through a lens of misunderstanding and ignorance by others. Even George doesn't understand the reasons for Lennie's low emotional and intellectual intelligence. Transient and itinerant workers like George and Lennie were common in this stage of American history.
