Taylor- The ending of this novel is extremely sad, and yet filled with compassion. Reaction? Imagine having to kill your closest companion in order to save him from a lynch mob. How would you feel if you had to pull the trigger on a friend in order to save them from a fate far more horrific? Put yourself in George's shoes, and you should be able to fill an entire page. This question asks for your opinion.
