What are they like? How do they live? How do they get along? How do they react to George and Lennie?

The ranch hands, like most men, are hard working and trying to make a living. Because they travel around, the men aren't married, they don't have families, and they don't have homes of their own. They bond between themselves, but few develop close friendships, as sooner or later it will be time to move on. George and Lennie seem to get along with the other hands, though, they are considered different because they travel together.
