Who died and how

Lise, Annemarie’s sister, "died in an accident two weeks before her wedding" when she was eighteen. It is not until the end of the book that we find out that Lise was part of Danish Resistance movement with Peter. After fleeing a resistance meeting that was raided by Nazis, she was run over by a military car.
