What are some hardships faced by the Danish people because of the war on Chapter 4

In Chapter Four specifically, the reader learns that the Danish people are facing a number of shortages because of the war. A leather shortage makes it difficult to get shoes and other leather goods. In addition to shortages, the Germans had burned down places where families would go during during their free time.... places they would go to enjoy themselves.
