What is the symbolic meaning of the dress Ben selects for Fallon?

The dress is a symbol of Fallon’s insecurity. Since Fallon sustained burning injuries, she has never accepted her scars. The dress Ben proposes is short; therefore, if Fallon puts it on, it will expose her scars. Ben says the short dress will make Fallon look sexy in their dinner meeting.
