Why do you think they do this? Do you think it was wise for their children to listen?

in the first column of the second page, several men attempted to stage a revolt against the nazis but a number of the older men beg their children not to do anything.

I believe conditions in the barracks made it difficult to hide themgs from anyone. Desperation makes for desperate acts. In my opinion, those planning the revolt needed all the help they could get..... the older men were, of course, more cautious.
