What is a physical description of Eliezer? What are his inner desires through out the story? What are some important traits about him?

One day when I was able to get up, I decided to look at myself in the mirror on the opposite wall. I had not seen myself since the ghetto. From the depths of the mirror , a corpse wa s contemplating me.

Eliezer inner desires change throughout the story. He wishes to survive, he hopes to stand by his father, and he wishes to hold onto his humanity.

Important traits include honor, loyalty, tenacity, optimism in the face of hopelessness, and endurance beyond enduring.
