how come???

the author of classic note said that, ellie is now beside the oppressed people in soviet , ...., Bangladesh ? but, hey how come bangladesh is oppressing jewis people?? isn't that funny? there is not a single jewis people in bangladesh. not one. if there is no jewis how can they really oppress them? is the author nuts??

Elie Weisel doesn't just help oppressed Jews. He helps other oppressed minorities too. I don't know much about Bangladesh, but perhaps he is trying to get better rights for a minority group there?
