defend or challenge the teaching of night in schools

Over the years, I've ssen a number of novels used in conjunction with or supplemental to units on the Holocaust. I love this novel, and I love the way it's written. I love the language and the way it's presented. I defend all teaching of the Holocaust in school, and I fully support the use of novels because unlike textbooks........ students tend to remember them when the unit is over.
