Never Let Me Go

Never Let Me Go

Question - Never Let Me Go is an example of distopian fiction that lends a voice to the underdog. How far and in what ways do you agree with this view.

Underdog - A person who is expected to be a victim or lose in a contest or conflict and is a victim of social or political injustice, but tend to have power over themselves later on in life.

There is a great article linked below that kind of supports the opposite view, and how the characters in this novel really aren't the underdogs because of their complacency in the occurrences in their own lives. I can see the part of the definition that reads...... "tend to have power over themselves later on in life," but I see that power as having achieved peace within themselves rather than power over themselves.
