What two reasons does Douglass give for not providing more details about his escape? Why is he against the publicizing of the Underground Railroad?

He does not want slaveholders to have any information that would help them prevent slaves from escaping.  He also hopes that slaveholders will begin to be fearful about their slaves getting away and become "rattled."
