From the first three paragraphs, we can infer that Douglass is a talented, charismatic, and well spoken man. He is a gifted orator, who has the ability to clearly state his points and illustrate the gravity of slavery, its atrocities, and its effects. Garrison's words are complimentary and illustrate Garrison's respect for Douglass.
