‘My view of Uncle Frank was unobstructed, and I steadies the sights on his head, right in front of his ear’ (pgs 83-84). Why does David aim the gun at his uncle? Reflecting on the situation afterwards, what does he question?

David suspects his uncle's guilt for much of the novel. When he pulled out the gun and aimed it at his uncle, David knew it was empty but he also considered the consequences of killing his uncle. David doubted his ability to hit and kill his uncle. He also thought about what added problemes killing his uncle would cause his family. Also David questioned what he would be solving even if he did manage to kill his uncle.
