Moby Dick

Ahab doesn't seem to believe Fedellah's. He says that he is immortal at sea. What does this show about his character? Do you think that he is arrogant?

Ahab has a mythic even God-like aura about him but he is not immortal, even at sea. I think this shows Ahab to be obsessive and delusional, just like he is about his whale.
