On Hiram's last day in Mississippi, Ruthanne explains grandpa's ansence from breakfast and tells Hiram that his grandfather will be back to say goodbye. In the end she asks, "Mr. Hiram, are things alright with you and Mr. Hillburn? You both seem awful skittish of each other."
