What do you think about... how the Remington Brothers are treated by everyone. Why?

Ronnie Remington and Ralph Remington live near the Hillburns. Ronnie's mental illness is not specified, but both he and Ralph are considered mentally deficient by their neighbors and the community. As a result, the brothers are misunderstood and often the targets of bullying and pranks. R.C. Rydell, in particular, hates the brothers and constantly pulls jokes on them.... jokes that are anything but funny, and instead, are cruel and malicious.
