Why does theseus agree to see the mechanical's play despite philostrate's protests?

Theseus doesn't like the choices of entertainment. He finally gets to the mechanical's play where he reads it is A tedious brief scene of young Pyramus and his love Thisbe; very tragical mirth. Theseus likes the silly description and chooses this as the night's entertainment.
