why does Helena say did she follow Demetrius into the woods

Helena comes up with a plan: to win the favor of Demetrius, she will tell him about Hermia's plan to run away with Lysander. Helena knows that Demetrius will pursue Hermia into the woods, but she hopes that he will be so grateful for her information that he will love her again, not Hermia.
