Despite Hermia being passionate about love, she does understand that men tell lies and break vows.

HERMIA

By all the vows that ever men have broke,

In number more than ever women spoke,

In that same place thou hast appointed me,

To-morrow truly will I meet with thee (Act 1)

This tells us that Hermia isn't clueless about the nature of love and how men are quick to fall in and out of it.
