What happened in the court room scene?

Shylock loses the case because Portia tricks him into having to take a pound of Antonio's flesh, no less /no more. Shylock can't do that. He ends up losing his fortune, his daughter and his religion; he is forced to convert to Christianity.

Shylock has come to collect his bond from Antonio. Portia shows up disguised as a lawyer. Through her use of logic and some attempt to convince Shylock to show mercy, she eventually gets Antonio freed. Shylock must convert to Christianity and forfeits some of his property to the state.
