I think they both long for and find solace in traditional aboriginal ways. They are, however, quite different in nature. Frank is often characterized as “speaking like a man,” and as being emotionally adept and straightforward. Frank often reads as more emotionally mature than his father, Eldon, and is known to tell his father harsh truths about Eldon’s drinking and its effects on others. Eldon is not as emotionally intelligent as his son.
