That meant nobody could leave their room!

It meant that the barrack was closed and inmates weren't allowed to leave. Inspections and general harassment would typically occur during this time.

Blocksperre means 'block lock'

You were not allowed to leave the block, or even the barracks, or else you would be punished.

If you paid attention, when the Pole inside the barracks yelled "BLOCKSPERRE!", Art explained what it meant

In the corner,it reads; " A "Blocksperre",this meant you must not step out from the room."
