Mansfield Park

Why does Austen make the marriage between Edmund and Fanny so short?

Some say that thsi is because she wanted to show the limitations of marriage ( a theme in the book) and to tell the reader that even Fannys marriage wasn't perfect, even though she has Edmund, and to have the story done with. Is there any other reason?

What do you mean by short? Fanny marries Edmund near the end of the novel.

I mean that Austen has just a paragraph about it, when readers expect it for the whole novel. It's rather anticlimatic. Wouldn't you agree?
