to know my deed, 'twere best not know myslef. wake duncan with thy knocking! i would thou couldst!
This comes up in Act 2 sc 2. Macbeth has killed King Duncan. Macduff and Ross are knocking at the castle gate. Macbeth wishes he had not killed the king and is ashamed of his action. He wishes the knocking might wake up Duncan.
