Macbeth is really losing his composure. He laments about hearing strange voices in the night air. He thinks he hears someone say "God bless us!" and another cry out, "Amen!". Macbeth cannot bring himself to say Amen because of his shameful sin. Macbeth laments some more about how he will never sleep again. L. Macbeth is just as rattled. Her tone is nervous and full of panic. She holds her composure enough to finish the job by planting the bloody daggers with the Duncan's two guards.
