The mood of scene two in Macbeth is dark and dismal, which carried over from scene one and continues into scene three. There is discussion of the gruesome outcomes of battle, and of violence and other negative occurrences.

Do you mean act 1? Duncan sounded pretty happy to me and Macbeth sounded like super soldier. The battle seemed only like background to get this story going.

The atmosphere is dark and dull with evil wheather. There is lightning and thunder around making the atmosphere spooky.
