Macbeth

Lady Macbeth as Duncan's daughter

Please help, I have to write a paper on the possibility of Lady Macbeth being Duncan's daughter. Does anyone have any idea on why this may be so?

You know, I have never heard this. I can't recall how many times I have taught this play. I'm not even sure it is a possibility. In act 2, just before Duncan's death, L. Macbeth states, "Had he not resembled My father as he slept I had done't". (2.2.14) She states the word "resembled" hence I'm inclined to think they are not related in that way.
