In scene 3, a mysterious third murderer joins Macbeth's two henchmen. Why might Shakespeare have chosen to hide the mans identity?

Macbeth is pretty paranoid at this point. He sends a third murderer to check on the first two that he hired. Macbeth really wants Banquo and Fleance dead.
