How has macbeth being beslowed with the title thane of cawdor made him question the witches prophesy

After the first prophecy comes true (Macbeth is named Thane of Cawdor), he realizes that the only way the second part of the prophesy will come to fruition is by killing the king. This realization and thoughts thereof terrify Macbeth.
