Macbeth

HOW & WHY does Macbeth being "easily manipulated" , "paranoia" , and "gullibility" affect the story?

Basically all of these set Macbeth on a one way trip to destruction. He looses friends and allies. By the end of the play nobody likes him. He has become raving, paranoid and obsessed.
