Why does Roger hit Henry with stones?

Roger wants to fit in with Jack's hunters, and thus joins the group in throwing stones. None-the-less, Roger still remains somewhat civilized and is careful to throw the stones where they won't make contact......... he's just trying to fit in with the wrong crowd. Note, he does NOT throw stones with the intention of hitting Henry, he just wants it to look that way.
