What is the election like and what does each candidate offer the group?

THe election is very hap hazard. THe boys vote on prior allegiance to Jack (his Choir) and the rest vote for Ralph. The reasons for voting for Ralph relate to his calmly mood, his good looks and the fact that he holds the creamy shell that summoned them-a link with the adult world. THe election is more of a new game to them than anything else. They really don't know what each candidate had to offer at that point nor did they consider anybody else.
