lord of the flies chapter 4, how has the relationship between ralph and jack continued to deteriorate?

The longer the boys are stranded on the island, the more their relationship continues to deteriorate. Jack abandons all sense of civilized behavior, and Ralph tries to hand onto it.......... their struggle for power over one another takes over.
