1. That there can't be a beast with claws, teeth...He thinks the only beast is in themselves.

2. Simon longs to explain this.

3. Ralph agrees to search the island to prove there isn't a beast and that he is not afraid.

4. They fool around at the top of the mountain pretending it would make a great fort.
