The Low Cuts are a group of children whose families are struggling financially. The children are bound together by the fact that they each have a family member who has been stricken by cancer. Together.... they steal change, but there are rules that cannot be broken.

• They never take any bills.

• They never take jewelry.

• They never take wallets.

• Change is generally spent on extra food at lunch.
