When Marcus' hands are handcuffed behind his back, so long that he wets himself, Marcus is made to feel dirty and bad because of what he does when he is returned to the interrogation room, specifically, signing the required papers to ensure his freedom, Marcus has lost both his privacy and his dignity, he probably would have signed a confession to killing Abraham Lincoln.
