A.) Mrs.Sommers would never have found her true self if she hadn't lived in a city with stores to spend more money on herself . She would continue living for her family instead of her own desires, staying true to the role of women in this age .

B.) Mrs. Sommers would not have developed love for fancy itiems if she would have never encountered them . She would have lived a more simple life had she not fallen in love with the silk stockings and continued her spending of the 15 dollers she found .

C.) Mrs.Sommers wanted to get the chance to spend the money she found . She was sneeking around for days trying to devise a plan, and when she ended up in the store with the silk stockings, she realized it was fate .

D.) Mrs.Sommers wanted to live a different style of life . She wanted to spend more money on herself and not on her family . She figured this out when she was in the store working up the courage to bargain shop , but felt the silk sockings .

I think this is the closest statement related to the story,

D.) Mrs.Sommers wanted to live a different style of life . She wanted to spend more money on herself and not on her family . She figured this out when she was in the store working up the courage to bargain shop , but felt the silk stockings .

Mrs. Sommers had not intended on her shopping spree but the moment with the stockings caught hold of her and she lived a little dream, at least for awhile.
