Brutus decides that Caesar must be killed. His reasons for reaching this conclusion are that Caesar is abusing his power and that has ascended far too quickly.

Brutus agrees to join the men in their murderous quest.

Brutus convinces the other men to leave Cicero out of the plot, and also convinces them that Marc Antony should not be killed along with Caesar.
