What are the elements of suspense leading up to Caesar's death?

In other words, what makes the reader think that Brutus may not be successful in meeting his goal.

The most obvious case is Cassius' line about Popilius Lena. He says the following in Act 3, Scene 1:

He wish'd to-day our enterprise might thrive.

I fear our purpose is discovered.
