The third scene carries much of the action that might be described as "falling action." The men who were involved in the plot against Caesar meet and prepare to fight those who want to protect Caesar's image and reputation (the present triumvirate including Antony and Octavius). The men prepare for the upcoming battle which, as is true in all Shakespearean tragedies, will cause the death of all main characters, and they will not survive to fight another day. The ghost of Caesar appears, a common sight in Shakespearean tragedies, such as the ghost of Hamlet's father in Hamlet and the ghost of Banquo in Macbeth. All in all, much happens in this scene and all of the action is needed to tie up the loose ends.
