Brutus Killing Caesar

What does Brutus think and/or hope will happen if they kill Caesar? In other words what was his goel in killing Caesar?

Brutus says that Caesar must die because of Caesar's ambition. He thought Caesar was becoming too powerful and that Rome needed a republic to thrive. He feels that Caesar is becoming a dictator rather than a leader.
