What do Casear's last words mean? Explain why you think Caesar reacts this way when he sees Brutus with the murderers.

Caesar is astonished when he says "Et tu, Brute?" This translates roughly to "even you?". Caesar is blindsided that his trusted friend and confidant could do such a thing. He could understand some of the other conspirators betraying him but not his Brutus.
