Why does Lavinia want to talk with Johnny?

Lavinia wants to tell Johnny the true story of Johnny's heritage - that Johnny's mother was, in fact, a member of the Lyte family and that Mr. Lyte had lied earlier about the cup.  Johnny does not care too much at this point in the story because his life will not change now that he has begun to believe in the Revolution.
