Cilla and Isannah are now working as servants to Lavinia Lyte, and Cilla is engaged to marry Mr. Tweedie when she comes of age. Cilla has also become quite the flirt and creates political cartoons for the newspaper.

Isannah is described as "haughty," and she has definitely changed since becoming Lavinia's companion.
