This is only a short answer space. Generally, Jane Eyre becomes self-sufficient and self-aware in the story. Initially Jane is a frightened girl who hides from conflict. She later becomes governess, and then as the headmistress of her school. She learns how to be self-sufficient and deal with adversity.
