In the altercation with the Cloud-Men, Centipede is covered with blue paint— quick drying blue paint. As the paint dries, Centipede is unable to move, and everyone fears he will die. Luckily, a storm blows through, washing the paint from Centipede and setting him free. Everything works out after all.
