Everett was like McCandless is a few different ways. Like Everett, McCandless changed his name, he was young and unconcerned with safety..... thus, impetuous. Everett also chronicled many of his adventures, adventures he too was unprepared for. Everett disappeared in the same way Chris did..... the only difference being that he was never found.
